During Milan Design Week, from April 8 to April 13, 2025, Moooi invited visitors to experience A Life Extraordinary across three remarkable locations. That year, the brand unveiled its first-ever Milan store, made a bold appearance at the Salone del Mobile Fair, and showcased a serene outdoor installation featuring its new ceramic surfaces.
From immersive interiors to sensory landscapes, Moooi redefined the way we experienced design. Discovered dynamic lighting that moved, textiles that beckoned touch, and materials that blended past and future. Across all three destinations, we presented unexpected new designs, from sculptural furniture and carpets to bold ceramic surfaces.

NEW: HAYBALE LOUNGE CHAIR WITH FOOTSTOOL BY NICHOLAS BAKER
A bold reinterpretation of rural nostalgia, the Haybale Lounge Chair with Footstool transforms stacked hay bales into a sculptural statement of comfort. Designed by Nicholas Baker, this modular seating system balances raw charm with contemporary sophistication.
Quilted cushions and bold contrast straps create the aesthetic of bound hay, while a selection of rich upholstery options allows for personalisation. The footstool completes the seating experience, creating an inviting space to unwind. Plush, structured, and deeply tactile, Haybale Lounge Chair is the latest design from Moooi.
NEW: BETA LIVING PEBBLE – A LIVING LIGHTING SYSTEM BY MOOOI
Light is no longer static. Introducing Beta Living Pebble, an intuitive, plug-and-play lighting innovation that brings movement, rhythm, and organic dimming to Moooi’s designs. Inspired by natural motion, Living Pebble gently shifts, sways and breathes – transforming the ambience with subtle rotations and evolving intensity.

EXPANSION: THE EXTINCT ANIMAL FABRIC COLLECTION
Nature’s wonders are woven into Moooi’s Extinct Animal Fabric Collection, where intricate textures and rich details tell a story of movement and life. Golden Tiger Flax gleams with a subtle sheen, Dandelion Crane Paper folds into soft pleats, and Blushing Sloth Jacquard flows with quiet elegance. Whether shimmering or grounding, these tactile weaves transform interiors into layered, immersive spaces.

NEW: THE BOUCLE FABRIC COLLECTION
Moooi’s Boucle Fabric Collection explores texture in its purest form. Woven from premium wool blends, these fabrics balance softness with durability, offering a deep, tactile experience. Ivory brings understated elegance, Smoke adds moody depth, and Fossil grounds interiors with earthy warmth. Sage introduces a nature-inspired tone, while Blossom infuses a delicate blush. Designed for comfort and longevity, the Boucle Collection places tactility at the heart of every space.
NEW: THE TIMBER TONES CARPET COLLECTION BY SJOERD VROONLAND
Wood tells a story – of time, texture, and artistry. The Timber Tones Collection by Sjoerd Vroonland brings the craftsmanship of marquetry to carpets, blending geometric precision with organic grain. In collaboration with FineMarq, this collection transforms wooden inlays into textile surfaces, shifting with light and shadow, inviting touch and movement.

NEW: THE ORGANIC SEQUENCES CARPET COLLECTION BY JANA KLEINE-KALMER
Not designed but discovered – The Organic Sequences Collection captures the beauty of free-flowing ink in soft, layered carpets. Inspired by microscopic details and cosmic formations, these pieces evolve with every glance, their abstract textures resisting uniformity. A celebration of imperfection, movement and the art of the unplanned.
PREVIEW MOOOI CERAMIC SURFACES
Moooi is set to give a fresh perspective to surfaces with its first ceramic tile collection.
More than ceramic tiles, this collection transforms floors, walls and surfaces into striking canvases of art and texture.
It will bring depth, storytelling and another signature Moooi aesthetic to interiors.
This new collection is being developed with a leading business in the ceramic industry, ABK Group. During Milan Design Week, Moooi and ABK Group are showing a serene outdoor installation featuring a preview of the new Moooi ceramic surfaces.
The official debut of the collection is at Cersaie 2025 in Bologna, Italy.

ALL EYES ON ADA SOKÓŁ
Ada Sokół’s works are an ultra-sensory experience, based on oneiric scenery resembling visions of the far future. And this year, the 3D artist and designer pushes Moooi’s imaginative Extinct Animals into a new realm – exploring how Blooming Seadragon, Indigo Macaque and the recently discovered Reiki Rhea come alive across locations all over Milan. Sokół doesn’t like being restricted to reality and plays with the infinite possibilities of digital surrealism, allowing the Extinct Animals to flourish and tell more of the story. Her artwork can be discovered at the new Moooi Store Milan, Salone del Mobile Fair and ABK Group Studio.

ANDRÉS REISINGER MOOOI MILAN STORE TAKEOVER
Creating at the intersection of art, design, and direction, Andrés Reisinger bridges the imagined and the tangible. Conceptual yet accessible, his immersive 3D visuals, otherworldly compositions, and experimental use of texture draw the realm of dreams close. And this year, Moooi is pleased to have Reisinger's iconic 'Take Over' installation at Moooi Store Milan. Reisinger uses his signature pink and takes the democratisation of art to a new level by creating an all-encompassing reality, where the act of 'viewing' evolves into the act of 'experiencing'. The people of Milan Design Week can have the opportunity to experience his installation at the new, permanent Moooi Store Milan Via Filippo Turati 2.
ANTOINE PETERS PLAYS WITH SPACE
Known for his playful, conceptual approach, artist and creator Antoine Peters brings a new dimension to Moooi Store Milan with his sculptural “Space Garments.” These larger-than-life pieces explore the relationship between clothing, the body and the space around them – challenging perception and inviting interaction. During Salone del Mobile, his work becomes part of Moooi’s imaginative world, sparking a dialogue between art, design and experience. Step into the new Moooi Store Milan on Via Filippo Turati 2 to see how Peters plays with presence and space.
